📚 Contexto Histórico
This is part of the detailed account of King Solomon building the first temple in Jerusalem around 960 BC. The cherubim were large, golden angel-like figures with outstretched wings that were placed in the Holy of Holies, the most sacred inner room of the temple. A cubit was about 18 inches, so these were massive sculptures with 15-foot wingspans.
