✦ MADE SIMPLE

And the LORD said to me, 'Don't be afraid of him, because I will hand him over to you, along with all his people and his land. You will defeat him just like you defeated Sihon, the king of the Amorites who lived in Heshbon.'

⚡ THE BOTTOM LINE

God is telling Moses not to fear the enemy king because He promises to give them complete victory, just like He did before.

📚 Historical Context

In the historical context of the Israelites' wanderings in the wilderness, Moses and the people were preparing to enter the Promised Land after their exodus from Egypt. They had recently defeated Sihon, king of the Amorites, who ruled in Heshbon, and now faced Og, king of Bashan, as part of God's plan to give them the land. God spoke directly to Moses, assuring him of victory over Og just as He had provided success against Sihon.
