✦ MADE SIMPLE

Then the LORD's anger will burn against you, and he will close up the sky so that there is no rain, and the land will not produce its crops. You will quickly die and be removed from the good land that the LORD is giving you.

⚡ THE BOTTOM LINE

This verse warns that God's anger leads to drought and failed harvests, which would quickly drive the people from the promised land he's giving them.

📚 Historical Context

Moses spoke these words to the Israelites just before they entered the Promised Land after 40 years in the wilderness. He was warning them about the consequences of turning away from God to worship other gods once they settled in Canaan. In an agricultural society completely dependent on seasonal rains, drought meant death and displacement.
