And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
And I will write on the stone tablets the same words that were on the first tablets that you broke, and you will put them in the ark.
God is promising Moses that He will rewrite the Ten Commandments on new stone tablets to replace the ones Moses broke, and these will be kept safely in the ark.
📚 Historical Context
This occurred after Moses came down from Mount Sinai and found the Israelites worshiping a golden calf, causing him to break the original stone tablets containing the Ten Commandments in anger. God graciously agreed to provide new tablets with the same commandments written on them. The ark mentioned here is the Ark of the Covenant, a sacred chest that would house these holy tablets and serve as the central symbol of God's presence among His people.
