Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
I looked closer at what was in front of me, really taking it all in. There were all kinds of animals, four-legged creatures, wild animals, things that crawl on the ground, and birds flying around.

📚 Historical Context
In the book of Acts, Peter is recounting a vision he had while praying on a rooftop in Joppa, where a large sheet filled with various animals was lowered from heaven. This vision was part of God's way to challenge the strict Jewish dietary laws that separated Jews from Gentiles, preparing Peter for the inclusion of non-Jews into the faith. Peter shared this experience with the Jewish believers in Jerusalem to justify his decision to preach to a Roman centurion named Cornelius.
