✦ MADE SIMPLE

The king replied to the man of God, 'Please ask the LORD your God to help me and pray for me, so that my hand can be healed and made normal again.' So the man of God prayed to the LORD, and the king's hand was completely restored and became exactly like it was before.

⚡ THE BOTTOM LINE

The king humbly asked God's prophet to pray for his healing, and when the prophet did, God completely restored the king's withered hand.

📚 Historical Context

This happened when King Jeroboam was offering sacrifices at an altar he had built illegally, and a prophet from Judah came to condemn it. When Jeroboam stretched out his hand to have the prophet arrested, God caused his hand to wither and become paralyzed as a sign of judgment. This miracle of restoration showed both God's power to judge and His mercy to heal when there is humility.
